It’s one of those books that come along once in awhile that makes you want to read it non-stop until you get to the end. I’m giving nothing further away here. And this, I hope, will only add to the mystery and enjoyment for the reader. Moreover, I believe that this book will be indispensable as one of the primary sources for those wanting to better understand the migrant's story.

What an absolute inspiration he his. You just have to sit back and follow Vadim through his story. At times I was in awe of his positive mindset and how he approached all the challanges and obstacles he faced, as they were thrown at him during his journeys.
Vadim provides valuable content in the form of education, own lessons learned, mentorship and attitude to life.
I would say that this book is actually everyone's business - I certainly highly recommend you do and add it to your reading shopping list.
Written in first person, No One’s Business A Migrant’s Barefoot Journey to Millions is an engaging story of hardship and triumph over harrowing odds.
The author takes us on an intimate trip as he flees Moldova where he has known great hardship and struggles to get to a new home in London --hoping for a fresh start in life.
Written in a compelling style that kept this reader in the story and provided concrete examples of his experiments at not only trying to reinvent himself but develop empathy for the struggles of others. Along the way he also delves into his own insecurities and how he overcame them, offering insight and motivation for anyone who has ever wanted more out of life but was perhaps too timid to go for it.
What an incredible story! Mr. Turcanu's courage--a courage borne of desperation perhaps, but courage nonetheless--is to be admired, perhaps even emulated. No matter the odds, he kept on with a tenacious perseverance. I liked the life sayings. I'd heard most of them before, but I'd never really understood them, how they actually applied to our lives--until I read this book. A very brave man, in the true sense of bravery--to go on despite one's fear.
I have just completed reading the book...and I must say it made me feel sad and sorry for the journey the protagonist had. It's more than about migration, it's about surviving, about finding conform in your own skin, especially when you feel you're drowning...
Dear author, to say the least, it is a wonderfully written story. Thank you for opening up your soul, a brave act...perhaps a necessity. I admire your courage and strenght!
I highly recommend this book to those interested in finding out more about Moldova's migration process back in the 2000s...unfortunately, this was the migrant profile of those times...
This is author's own story told in a very honest manner. Usually it is difficult to write about negative aspects or criminal activities of one's self, but the author narrated all including his hardships and the mind set in which he lived in Moldova and why he decided to take a very risky journey from his home town to UK.
Through the book you realize the plight of the migrants and why they are forced to migrate for a better future. Story is not only written in an interesting manner but also it gives an inspiration to achieve something in life with determination, hard work and taking risks. In spite of getting stuck in criminal gangs for his survival, how the author comes out clean and settles for a successful life in UK, is a highly motivational story for the people who are young and want to do something in life. At the end of the book, the author has published an interview of a successful migrant, which I found very inspirational.
