The Nightlife Las Vegas Paranormal Love Triangle Vampire Harem The Nightlife Series Book 2 edition by Travis Luedke Terrie Robinson Romance eBooks
"Nightlife: Las Vegas" takes up where Travis Luedke's "Nightlife: New York" leaves off. Vampire Aaron and his maker, Michelle have left New York and are making Las Vegas their own. Then they acquire blood slave Ana, and things really heat up!I don't want to reveal too much of the plot - I think it's best if you enjoy this graphic, erotic thrill ride first hand. I will say "Nightlife: Las Vegas" has everything. Vampires, sex, drugs, gambling, violence, intrigue, mystery, suspense... oh, and did I mention sex? And not just sex...VAMPIRE sex!
What I really appreciated was the author's creativity in developing believable characters, and offering a new take on vampires that I found refreshing. If you want chaste, sparkly, adolescent vampires, read "Twilight". If you want sexy, visceral, adult vampires, then Travis Luedke's "Nightlife" series is for you. His portrayal of vampires as powerful predators trying to survive undiscovered in a human world is unrelentingly fascinating.
"Nightlife: Las Vegas" left me wanting more, and I can't wait until the next book in the series. Travis Luedke's "Nightlife" books are as addicting as vampire venom - they will leave you breathless and begging for more! His wildly sexy characters will stay in your head long after you have finished reading.
Would love to see the "Nightlife" series as a movie - or even a TV series!

The Nightlife Las Vegas Paranormal Love Triangle Vampire Harem The Nightlife Series Book 2 edition by Travis Luedke Terrie Robinson Romance eBooks Reviews
I am writing this review a little bit backwards…when I finished reading this book, I sent a message to Travis Luedke and told him that I don’t do vampire books. I think his response was not only a gentle little pat on the back to himself, but a profound thought for me. He simply said he was happy he could pull me from my comfort zone… I thought about that for hours.
When I finished reading The Nightlife New York, I was sure that there was not going to be another book that could make glad I was reading about vampires. It was a stretch for me to actually want to read not only one, but three books about vampires. It was defiantly very out of my comfort zone. Through the entire first book I kept telling myself the same thing I told all of you through the review, I don’t do vampire books. After falling in love with The Nightlife New York, I really thought the books were going to be just ok after that, but I will always try to find something positive to say about a book. Reality hit me hard upside the head when I started reading The Nightlife Las Vegas. Not only was I willing to admit I liked these vampire books, I was almost willing to admit that I loved them.
When I started reading this, I wasn’t sure how a storyline in Las Vegas could compete with all of the activity of the New York book, but Travis Luedke, Michelle and Aaron did not let me down in the least. In fact, I fell in love all over again and had a very hard time putting the second book down. The events of this book had me from the start. You already knew the main characters after reading New York, so a lot of background on their story was not needed, and because of that the action picked up the pace of this book at the very beginning. You are introduced to Michelle and Travis’s pet, Anastasia in this book. I have to say, I thought it was a little too perfect that she was so ready to be a part of their strange world of the night, but she was fabulous and it actually broke my heart in the end reading their sad goodbyes to their sweet pet. But I am not about to ruin the story for anyone.
This book captured me into a wild ride like only Las Vegas could do. Michelle and Aaron must have a bad habit of letting drama find them because there was that times 10 in this book. The action was amazing and couldn’t have been written any better for these characters.
Now I am going to admit, reading the erotic scenes in this book was like going back to a few other books I have read, but so much hotter. They weren’t creepy as I would have thought they would have been, but beautiful. The connection with these characters is just amazing not to mention the sex…holy hot tamale! I am in love.
Travis Luedke did start to lose me a bit when the vampires starting taking drugs… I thought they were hot enough without adding that to the mix, but what happens in Vegas… I hope stays there. It wasn’t enough to make me want to put the book down; it just became a much clearer picture of how dangerous these vampires really are…
I wasn’t sure if it was possible for me to like a vampire book more than New York, well Travis Luedke knocked himself off the top spot in my world, when New York was replaced by Vegas. So back to what I was saying about being out of my comfort zone… it’s true. I was so uncomfortable even opening these books, but I am glad I took the chance and read these vampire books that I am was so adamant reading. They say never judge a book by its cover, well; I think for me, it is never judge a book by its characters. They were part of the story but they did not run the story. There is a line that was drawn for me between it being “just a vampire book” and being a book I wanted to read. I really enjoyed The Nightlife Las Vegas and have a new appreciation for being pulled out of character and out of my comfort zone.
This is #2 in The Nightlife Series, and picks up right where the first one ended.
I'll start right off by saying that although it was a fairly good read, more so from the second half in than the first, I much preferred the first one, The Nightlife New York, for the simple reason that the first half in this one, for me, was very repetitive. I have no problem with reading about sex, erotica and so on - with certain exceptions of course, cases where I'll be totally grossed out. I wasn't grossed out in the least here, as once again it's nothing I haven't read before, but.... Fair enough, Michelle is not only Aaron's master, but they are for obvious reasons, sexual partners. Their lives consist of surviving and in order to do so, they prey on unsuspecting humans in clubs, or wherever in order to feed. One rule is to never, ever, get so carried away that you turn a human into a blood slave. But, it's all the first half was about. Just how I felt.
One particular night, Aaron is mesmerised by a woman, and he must have her. No two ways about it. He breaks Michelle's rules, and adamantly believes he can control his urges. Anastasia is instantly attracted to Aaron, but then so are all woman who happen to be in his vicinity. Animal attraction beyond anyone's imagination. Ana becomes not only his blood slave, but Michelle's, too. Suffice it to say that Ana is not exclusively Aaron's, but Michelle's as well - the duo then becoming a very, very active trio in every way possible.
As this installment takes place in Las Vegas, one is drawn to gambling - it's the Las Vegas lifestyle of many. Aaron is no different, and being able to read what's in people's minds, is a huge contender in the gambling scene. Goes without saying. He ticks one particular player off one evening by taking all his winnings - something he accomplishes every time he plays. This is not something that will soon be forgotten, and all sorts of planning to not only get Aaron but Michelle, too, gets underway. Unfortunately, Ana gets the worst of what's coming and her life is short lived.
It's not only about biting and sex, although there's an unbelievable amount of both going on, but in order to keep a blood slave alive, or live longer after numerous bouts of sex and blood draining, blood replacements and keeping the body healthy is of the utmost importance. Blood slaves become anaemic.
To re-cap, I didn't hate this story, but didn't enjoy it as much as the first one. I personally preferred the second half of the book, as more action took place and wasn't so repetitive. One thing that perhaps irritated me a bit, was what seemed to be a few hours after Aaron and Ana met, she constantly kept telling him, and vice versa, I love you - I love you so much. That just did not ring true. Maybe it had to do with the fact she was dependent on him, and also due to the fact that she now felt cherished by Aaron who treated her as she'd never been treated. As far as she was concerned, she was right at home and he was 'the one'. Still, it was just okay for me.
Keep in mind that paranormal is one of my favourite genres. I live (practically) for the likes of J.R. Ward, Kresley Cole and Lara Adrian, and although their books are not classed as adult or even erotic, they are most certainly both. So, for the sake of making myself clear here, I am able to compare.
Yes, they are vampires, and yes they like to get it on for hours on end, yet there are times when too much is just too much. To keep my interest, other things need to happen in between and they do, but in this book, they just weren't enough.
With all of this said, however, I am reading the third which really stands on it's own but is part of the series, and I can say that I'm loving Blood Slave. It's my favourite, without a doubt. My review on Blood Slave will go up on 28 February as part of Mr. Luedke's book tour.
