I, like Beth Dexter, was an English major in college and as such I was "schooled" in the evolution of English literature. I have been a reader for going on 60 plus years, so I am also aware of the evolution with regards to e-publishing. I believe that the publisher of this mystery has taken a fresh and innovative two-fold approach to introducing a new writer to the genre. By allowing a seasoned professional novelist to mentor, it has added credibility to Ms. Dexter's efforts and by serializing the novel readers can experience early chapters with little financial "harm". Ms. Dexter's's prose is straight forward, fluid, and suspenseful. I have to admit that I can't wait for the next installment. I am also pleased that a seasoned and very accomplished writer like Diane Capri has been willing to mentor Ms. Dexter, as it is refreshing to see the collaboration at its best. The authors have peaked my interest, I don't usually get involved in an ongoing, unwritten story. I have to confess to a morbid curiosity.... Gary
Not bad story or writing, but disappointed to find out that each book is only part of the story and nothing was ever resolved in the first 4 books.
Very fast paced book, good thriller, can't wait to read the next one.
You've done it again Diane. This book is very intriguing and can't wait to read more. It's a good thing this book comes in short parts because you can't stop reading once you start.
I liked the story line
I usually enjoy her books. I was upset that after paying for it, it was only a couple of chapters. It is just another extension of a sample book. You have to keep buying to see the next couple of chapters. Bah. I hate it when authors do this, I would rather just have the entire book and pay at once.
This set of books are ok. The first one was free and the 2nd in the series was only $.99 so I bought it too. However the next books are 2 and 3 dollars each and they are only 100 pages long. They are not worth that much money. I would have order the rest if they were only $.99.
