Vaughn Everard's family knows the Earl of Devary has something to do with his uncle's death. He has been trying to speak with the Earl and has been turned away many times. Imogene saw Vaughn at the dance that evening and was determined to find out who he is.

Her friend's dance party, finds many men, but not dancing. The men are all circled around Miss Everard all including Vaughn. Imogene Devary tells her friends that she will take care of the problem and goes to the circle where the men are and taps one gentleman on the shoulder and tells him she is dissapointed in him... He tells her he is sorry and will do anything to be in her good graces again. She sends him over to dance with her friends. This continues until she is the only one without a dance partner. She taps on Vaughn Everard's shoulder and he dances with her- not knowing who he is or he know who she is. When the dance comes to an end, her friends mother is there to get her away from the rake and tells her she should be careful with the people she dances with. This only compells her to dance or talk to him again, which she does causing her friends mother to get her mother to keep her inline.

Loved the suspense and romance. It keeps one's attention very well. I gave it a four star rating because the romantic in me felt there was a little unfinished business regarding the father's title.
It was entertaining. I had no idea how Regina would get those two together. Or how she would prove the murder. But she did and it all came together nicely.

Very enjoyable novel. I've gotten away from wanting to read a lot of romance novels, but this was refreshing and well written.
I enjoyed this book. Vaughn kept us jumping and the story moving. I liked Emogene she had spunk I like a girl with determination.

This is my favorite book of this series. I find myself reading it and re-reading it when I want something light and fun. The characters are fun and well-developed. Highly recommended for those who like light, clean reads.
