My mother loved Serendipity books and purchased as many as she could get her hands on. Thus was it that when my own son was born 8 months ago, I was determined to get my own hands on my childhood favorites.

As I placed this order, I wondered if the books could possibly be as good as I remembered. The fact that I remembered them more than twenty years later should have been truth enough, but I still had to see to believe.

The art is beautiful. The story is sweet and multi-dimensional for a childrens book. And, best of all, while I read this story to my son, it is like my mom is holding me on her lap once more. In this way, she lives on. I'm so, so grateful to Serendipity for rereleasing these books and allowing this to be so.

Love the series. Great books
Beautiful little book with a message that illustrates the importance of believing in yourself, and simultaneously staying grounded in reality. I highly recommend it for those with active "Inner Children" as well. Very therapeutic.
I had these books as a kid. I remember the beautiful art work and illustrations. The paper back books are a little hard to actually keep open without bending the binding but the books are just as amazing as I remembered them. I am glad I can share them with my children
My daughter who is 27, wanted me to find her copy in all the old books I have, but it wasn't there. I purchased this and she was so happy with it. She'll read it to her daughter!
Absolutely love these books. This was the last book I needed to complete my collection. First of all I ordered a hardcover and recieved paper secondly who puts a shipping sticker across the face of a illustration!?!? Do I peel it off and risk ripping the cover or leave the sticker there. As a book lover this is suck a pet peave. Not happy
Serendipity books are simply wonderful. The stories are meaningful and the illustrations are some of the most creative and beautiful I've ever seen in in children's books. Each one is a treasure.
Love the illustrations and storyline! It has one of those if-you-believe-you-can-do-it-then-you-can-do-it type of messages, but I was pleasantly surprised that the message didn't stop there. The armadillo actually says something along the lines, "well, if it's physically possible for you to do, then believe you can." Some common sense in the book for those of you parents that would like your children to be in touch with reality while also getting a feel-good message.
